At Cornell the social sciences are found in numerous departments, centers, institutes, and research programs, including economics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, government, policy analysis and management, industrial and labor relations, and communication. In addition, three infrastructure units report directly to the vice provost for social sciences:
- Institute for the Social Sciences (ISS)
- Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (CISER)
- Survey Research Institute (SRI)
