At Cornell the social sciences are found in numerous departments, centers, institutes, and research programs, including economics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, government, policy analysis and management, industrial and labor relations, communication and human development. In addition, three infrastructure units report directly to the vice provost for social sciences:

The Social Science Internal Advisory Council is a standing committee that works with the vice provost for social sciences to provide coordination across the social science departments at Cornell.
