Poem in Your Pocket Day 2008

For the second year, Cornell M.F.A. students from the English department's Creative Writing Program were selected to read their contributions to the 6th annual Poem in Your Pocket (PIYP) Day on Thursday, April 17, 2008, in New York City. Sponsored by the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, the Bryant Park Corporation, and the Department of Education, this event celebrates April as National Poetry Month.

The College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning partnered with University Communications to produce a Poetry In Your Pocket book with original poetry and artwork by Cornell University students. The book is intended to fit into a pocket and will be distributed to every student at Food & Finance High School and to high school students attending the Bryant Park Poetry Reading.
